New paper: False Data Injection Attacks Against High Voltage Transmission Systems

One of the latest publication of ELECTRON was made in the 19th International Conference on Distributed Computing in Sensor Systems (DCOSS). The paper has as title False Data Injection Attacks Against High Voltage Transmission Systems and provides insights in False Data Injection Attacks (FDIAs) that can affect the EPES State Estimation (SE).

In particular  two FDIA categories are investigated namely:

  1.  Global Positioning System (GPS) Spoofing Attacks and
  2.  IEEE C37.118 FDIAs against an actual testbed emulating a high-voltage IEEE 9-Bus transmission grid.

A relevant Intrusion Detection System (IDS) capable of detecting the aforementioned FDIAs is also presented . The evaluation analysis demonstrates the impact of the above FDIAs and the efficiency of the proposed IDS.
