Looking ahead: Providing a Resilient Electric Vehicle Ecosystem
This Use Case deals with cyber-attacks against Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations, installed in three different parts of Greece, forming a large-scale charging station network. Various cyber-attacks will be unleashed to validate the ELECTRON platform’s ability to protect the EV charging infrastructure. EVs are key enablers for a sustainable society, by allowing renewables to further penetrate our energy mix, and significantly reducing the carbon footprint of land transportation. As EVs are rapidly adopted across Europe, new cybersecurity concerns are raised, since EV charging stations can be leveraged by cyberattackers to cause cascading effects against residential/commercial areas and Critical Infrastructures.
