Profile

The Information Technologies Institute (ITI) is a non-profit organisation under the auspices of the GSRT, with its head office located in Thessaloniki, Greece. It is a founding member of CERTH, one of the largest research centres in Greece. CERTH/ITI is one of the leading Institutions of Greece in the fields of Informatics, Telematics and Telecommunications, with long experience in numerous European and national R&D projects. It is active in a large number of application sectors (energy, health, robotics, (cyber) security, smart cities, etc.) and technology areas (data and visual analytics, IoT and communications, distributed ledger (blockchain), smart grid, etc.). CERTH/ITI occupies approximately 410 people from a variety of academic backgrounds.

Role in the project

CERTH will lead the activities of T5.3 Scalable Nanogrid Restoration & Optimisation and T5.4 Decentralised Blockchain for Energy Exchanging, and will participate in all tasks of WP5 Nanogrid Operations for Preventing & Mitigating Cyberattacks & Cascading Effects. CERTH will also contribute to WP1 Project Management and Coordination, WP2 ELECTRON Architecture, Demonstration Scenarios and Security & Privacy Requirements, WP3 Collaborative Risk and Certification Framework for Energy Systems, WP4 Next Generation EPES Cyber-defence & Protection, WP8 ELECTRON Integration & Testing, WP9 Large-scale Demonstration & Pilot Implementation and WP10 Dissemination, Exploitation & Clustering Activities.
